How to get to venue and around in Ljubljana:

CD Congress Centre Ljubljana is located in the centre of Ljubljana, at a walking distance from several hotels and the attractive Old Town. The main train station is a 20-minute walk or 10-minute bus ride away. This train station is served by direct train services from Austria, Germany, Hungary, Croatia, Italy, Serbia, etc. For motorists, parking areas are available in a garage under the Square of the Republic under the Congress Square.

By Bus: From the main bus or railway station, bus line No. 9 will take you to the conference venue’s immediate vicinity—the Drama National Theatre, where buses No. 1, 3, 6, and 19 also stop. Close by, there is also the Kongresni trg (eng: Congress Square) with stops for buses No. 2, 10, 11, 13, 17, 20, 21. Bus No. 14 also stops in close proximity to Cankarjev dom - on Prešernova Street.

Prices: The public city bus network makes it easy to travel within the city. The city lines connecting all districts are complemented by suburban buses, which link Ljubljana to its close surroundings. A smart card, Urbana, has to be purchased before use of public transport, but credit card payments for single rides are also possible. Find more details at:

By Car: Parking in Ljubljana is payable during daylight hours, with the exception of Sundays. There is also the option of parking in various city and public parking garages, with Maxi Garage being the closest. We suggest you park in your hotel and walk to the Congress Centre if your accommodation is in the city centre.

Bicycle Rental: Ljubljana’s public BicikeLJ rental system has multiple docking stations all around the city. To become a user, you need an e-mail address and a PIN code, as well as the "Urbana" city card or Bicikelj app. The cost of a yearly subscription is 3€.

Transfer from Brnik/airport Ljubljana to the Ljubljana City Centre (station): Public buses between the Ljubljana airport and the train station in the city run every 30 minutes from 9:00 to 21:00h, and approximately every hour from 6:00 to 9:00 in the morning. Find more details and timetables at:

There are also several taxi and shuttle services connecting the airport with Ljubljana's city centre. A taxi costs approximately €70. The shuttle service GoOpti shuttle service for example is available 24/7 and connects all nearby airports with Ljubljana.
